FIDELIO v8 - Client Instalation

To install a Fidelio V8 Client you need to follow the following steps:

1. Install Java Runtine (Typicall Installation)
2. Install a Oracle Runtime Client v.9 (Perform a typical installation with the TNS NAMES configuration.
• Once the instalation is complete replace the tnsname.ora file on c:\oracle\ora9\network\ADMIN with the *.ora file supplied by Micros Fidelio.
3. Install the setup.exe file from the Fidelio v8. Choose the Main Installation and perform a standard installation without changing any parameters.
4. Deleted all shortcuts created by the installation.
5. Copy the c:\fidelio\html and c:\fidelio\programs from the Fidelio Server replacing the existing ones in the installed workstation.
6. Registar the required DLL using the script from Micros Fidelio located in the folder c:\fidelio\programs\register.bat
7. Install the IFC8 DLL Instaltion for PMS Workstation V5.2.6. During the installation keep always the existing files do not change the ones provided during the instalatio. This instalation is required for a user to know if the interfaces to other systems are up and running.
